ACTION Innovation and its member incubator, North Shore InnoVentures (NSIV), were chosen to participate in the the 8th annual SelectUSA Investment Summit. The Summit is the highest-profile event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) in the United States, playing a vital role in attracting and facilitating business investment and job creation by raising awareness about the wide range of investment opportunities in the United States and enabling necessary direct connections between investors and U.S. economic development organizations (EDOs).

Each Investment Summit focuses on the U.S. investment environment, industry trends, and new opportunities, and features senior government officials, C-Suite business executives, and other thought leaders. U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo hosted the event, and distinguished presenters included President Joe Biden, and cabinet members Secretary of the Treasury, Janet Yellen, Secretary of Energy, Jennifer M. Granholm, Secretary of State, Antony J. Blinken, Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, Secretary of Labor, Martin J. Walsh, as well as CEO, Satya Nadella, and others.

Joan Popolo, Executive Director at ACTION, moderated a panel on Startup Ecosystems and Chris Ilsley, President and CEO at NSIV, participated on a Soft Landing Programs panel. This year's virtual Summit drew over 3,400 high-caliber attendees to help participants connect and create new pathways to business deals and opportunities.
