Topic: The Power of Regional Networks: Advancing Product Commercialization through New England’s Incubator Network

ACTION will discuss its recently launched manufacturing program aimed to connect hardware startups and alumni from its 13 member incubators to design engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing resources within its regional network. Several member incubators have developed independent programs and will contribute to the discussion on how the network works together to advance product commercialization for their member companies. Incubator managers Keith MacKenzie of UMass Dartmouth's Advanced Manufacturing Center and Kristine Schuman of TechPlace in Brunswick, ME and ACTION's Programs Director, Joan Popolo will co-present on this topic. A visit to NREL, the National Renewable Energy Lab in Golden, CO is scheduled for the last day of the conference. NREL is the only federal laboratory dedicated to the research, development, commercialization, and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies.
