Clean Energy Alliance’s New England Members Hosting Supply Chain Exchange

Golden, CO, March 29, 2013

Networking Event for Electrochemical Systems

Clean Energy Alliance members involved in the Northeast Electrochemical Energy Storage Cluster (NEESC), along with the Northeast Energy Commerce Association, will be hosting the 2013 Supply Chain Exchange in Westborough, Massachusetts, on April 3, 2013. This networking event is designed to connect the hydrogen, fuel cell, and other electrochemical systems manufacturers in the Northeast with regional suppliers to accelerate business growth and innovation. This event will include dynamic

"Matchmaking" sessions between OEMs and potential suppliers, and networking sessions for suppliers. In addition, businesses will be able to learn about funding and business services, and meet with federal, state, and regional resources. The Association of Cleantech Incubators of New England (ACTION), on behalf of itself and CEA, will participate in this event by disseminating information related to New England Incubators and CEA. See for information and registration.

"This event will advance our efforts to improve the competitive position of hydrogen and fuel cell cluster businesses in the region. The 2013 Supply Chain Exchange is a forum to facilitate successful relationships between manufacturers and suppliers by providing them with the opportunity to exchange valuable insights and make connections." - Joel M. Rinebold, Director of Energy Initiatives at CCAT.

The Northeast Electrochemical Energy Storage Cluster (NEESC),, is a network of industry, academic, government and non-governmental leaders working together to provide energy storage solutions. The cluster is focused on the innovative development, production, promotion, and deployment of hydrogen fuels and fuel cells to meet the pressing demand for energy storage solutions. The cluster is based in New York, New Jersey, and the New England States. Its initial formation and development is funded through the US Small Business Administration’s Innovative Economies Initiative and administered by CCAT. NEESC’s partner organizations also include:

  • The Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA);
  • Maine’s Hydrogen Energy Center (HEC);
  • New Energy New York (NENY);
  • The Connecticut Hydrogen Fuel Cell Coalition (CHFCC); and
  • Massachusetts Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Stakeholders

"This event is just one example of the array of technology development and commercialization support capabilities that are offered by CEA members," said James F. Groelinger, CEA’s Executive Director. "The CEA member calendar is replete with notable activities across the country and throughout the year."
